What is TRX

Give yourself to a set of ropes, use a nylon rope to hang yourself up for exercise – this is the most popular way of fitness in Europe and the United States in recent years. TRX , also known as Total Body Resistance Exercise, is a whole body strength training that uses body weight as resistance and adjusts the angle of inclination or posture to control the intensity of exercise. Studies have pointed out that TRX can train deep muscles, with a better activation effect of muscles than the exercise of muscle strength training on the plane, and it is also known to be beneficial to one’s cardiorespiratory ability, balance and coordination.

TRX's Origin

The earliest TRX was designed to train the US Navy. Even with the limited space on board, soldiers only needed a nylon rope to effectively train their muscles in depth. This training method was redesigned by Randy Hetrick, the commander of the US Navy SEALs after retiring, with gradual improvement and revising, finally turned into the TRX now that is suitable for athletes and the public. The flexible adjustment of TRX allows the middle-aged and fifty-shoulder patients to master it.

TRX's Moves

Same as traditional muscle training, TRX’s moves are also push-up, squat, plank, lunge, etc, only in a “rope version” of them. Seems easy only by pulling the rope and pulling the tendons? Definitely not. With ropes added, it is easy for the body to become unstable and shake. If the postures are not corrected in time, injuries may be resulted. This is exactly what the purpose of TRX is – using instability to learn stability. The muscles of the whole body must be activated and various parts must be used to stabilize the body.

TRX's Effect

Generally speaking, a persevered TRX training for 3 to 6 months can effectively control weight, reduce body fat, and achieve the fat burning effect that many people desire. Actually, the basic moves in TRX training are actually only enhanced versions of our daily life actions, such as pushing doors and pulling drawers. If you find it boring, you can always use TRX to form different trainings, which can be as many as 300 variations. As long as you like, you can create your own sports menu. Come just us for a few sessions and we are confident to make you fall in love with TRX. TRX can be used to exercise the core parts, arms, back, and even the whole body muscles. It is an interesting way of whole body exercise. What is more, TRX equipment is easy to carry and takes up very little space, making it extra precious during the pandemic. Most ordinary families in Hong Kong do not have open spaces or professional equipment to do in-depth fitness training, but TRX can be done in the gym, at home, or even in the park. It can be said that TRX is suitable for people of any physical level, at any time and any place.
